Role: Associate Manager-Finance
Reporting Manager: Manager – Operations
Location: Bangalore
Salary Range Per Annum: INR 9,00,000 to 9,96,000

Role Objective:
The Associate Manager – Finance, reporting to the Manager – Finance, is responsible for managing
financial records, processing transactions, and analysing financial data for internal and external audits.
The role demands attention to detail and strong organisational skills to ensure accurate and timely
financial documentation. Additionally, the position may involve taking on extra duties, such as
assisting with ad-hoc financial reporting, audits and other tasks to support the organisation’s financial
and operational objectives.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Accounting & Financial Management: Maintain an accounting system covering all areas of
    financial management, analysis, internal control, and ensure accurate and up-to-date records
    in Tally and other financial software. Ensure all transactions are properly accounted for as per
    financial procedures and controls.
  • Budget & Financial Reporting: Oversee budget maintenance, providing timely financial data
    and reports to the programme team. Ensure periodic closing and management of financial
    statements, including budget forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, including accurate
    filing of income tax returns, TDS, Professional Tax, FC-6 returns, and other statutory dues.
    Oversee timely payments and filings of returns.
  • Grant & Finance Management: Manage grants, financial reporting, budgeting, and
    forecasting as per programme requirements. Ensure proper accounting and auditing with the
    help of financial software.
  • Internal Control & Payments: Maintain an internal expenditure control system to ensure
    requisitions are properly approved and payments are processed upon receipt of final invoices
    and deliverables. Manage cash disbursements, receipts, payments, and ensure timely
    processing of pending bills and vendor payments.
  • Reconciliation & Discrepancies: Manage monthly reconciliations, liaise with management and
    stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, and meet audit and reporting deadlines.
  • Accounts Payable & Procurement: Oversee the accounts payable function, from procurement
    to the payment of invoices, ensuring all processes are efficiently managed.

Requirements (include Education, Required Skills/Qualifications; Experience/acquired knowledge
requirements, preferred Skills (if any):

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles, with exposure to financial
    reporting and analysis within the development sector.
  • Proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels in the
    organisation
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organisation.
