Our world is changing. Faster than ever before. The needs of our societies are changing and young people today urgently need new skills to thrive and navigate this complex, unpredictable world. We need to ask ourselves – What do young people need most to thrive in the 21st Century? We believe we all have the answer – albeit a piece of this puzzle. If we need to complete the puzzle, it is time to come together, for our young people. Keep them at the core of our intentions and actions.
Young people today need support systems that understand them, listen to them, help them wade through this complexity and help them thrive. They need Life Skills that will help them overcome adversity and change the script of their lives. We acknowledge that all of us, through our work, are providing young people the critical skills and the nurturing environments to help them thrive. We believe that all of us are nodes within a constellation of equal, interconnected partners and hence together, we are better positioned to develop more holistic, coordinated and exponentially game changing solutions to issues faced by young people.
We believe, in coming together, we will be building a supportive community of individuals and organizations that can remarkably and exponentially improve the chances of all young people to thrive in the 21st century.
From the past 6 years of Change the Script, over 80+ Organizations came together and connected to explore the way forward. Several collaborations sprung up as a result. We hope & believe in collaboration, where we come together, deepen this exploration and forge stronger collaborations.
Change the Script conference helps us explore how we can work together, at this critical juncture by placing the interest of young people at the centre. We will explore and reflect on our role as key stakeholders, we will deepen our understanding of young people and their challenges, we will hear about innovations that are making this happen, we will get an opportunity to share our innovations and we will co-create solutions for collective, large-scale and sustainable impact.
Change the Script (CTS) is a powerful platform to build and sustain a vibrant movement to enable a thriving life for every child.
A supportive community is a group of people and organizations that are committed to a collective cause. It is the coming together of a credible group of individuals and organizations to further a specific goal or purpose which will benefit all members of the group in tangible ways. Supportive Communities emerge when we understand that we cannot do this alone and are willing to walk the journey together. Members of this supportive community are expected to play an active role to furthering initiatives that positively impact the lives of young people.
