Channabasava hails from a small village in Gulbarga district. When he moved to Bangalore in pursuit of a career, life was not easy for him. 

Getting used to the pace of city life, making new friends, conversing in a dialect that he was not familiar with, carving a place for himself were just some of the challenges he faced. None of this bogged him down, though.

During this time, he joined the Career Connect Program at Koramangala. At the centre, he began to hone his computer skills. He was encouraged to build on his communication skills. He made attempts to overcome language barriers and made new friends. He was introduced to various career options. Channabasava found his calling in the banking sector. Through the program, he pursued a course in banking and successfully completed it. Today Channabasava works in a reputed bank as a Business Development Officer and dreams of becoming a Branch Manager eventually.

For many young people like Channabasava, the Career Connect program helps change the script. It opens up doors for a new future, defined by their dreams and aspirations not their past and background.
