Dr. Pilvi Torsti is an adjunct professor at the University of Helsinki. She has served as a State Secretary in three ministries and as an MP at the parliament in Finland. In 2019 she was a negotiator of the education programme of the current Finnish government. In 2015 Dr. Torsti founded a start-up Helsinki International Schools (HEI Schools). She has also led global projects being a co-founder of the United World College in Mostar in BiH currently chairing the foundation Education in Action. Torsti has published broadly. She is UWC graduate (1995), Eisenhower Fellow (2013) and married with three children.
